How Funding Works at Everbloom

Childcare fees can be a real worry for many families, and we understand how important it is to access support when you need it most. Once Everbloom Wraparound Childcare is fully Ofsted registered and open, families may be able to receive help with childcare costs through a range of government schemes.

Funded hours would cover the childcare hours only, while any additional charges may include meals and snacks, extended hours from 6:30am–8am and 6pm–8pm, weekend sessions, evening care, and holiday clubs. We will provide every family with a clear funding breakdown so you always know exactly what you’re paying.

Term-Time or Stretched Funding
Once registered you could choose to use your funded hours either term-time or stretched across the year. Term-time funding covers 38 weeks, providing the full 15 or 30 hours during school terms, while stretched funding covers 51 weeks, spreading the entitlement out so, for example, 30 hours becomes 22 hours per week.

This page outlines the main types of support available so you can begin exploring what you may be entitled to.

Universal Credit Childcare Costs

Families receiving Universal Credit may be able to claim back a percentage of childcare fees (up to 85%).

This can apply to:

- Nursery
- Wraparound care
- Holiday clubs & Weekend
- Evening babysitting (approved settings)

Learn more: search “GOV.UK Universal Credit childcare costs”.

How Universal Credit Works:

1. You pay your childcare invoice.

2. Submit your costs through the UC app.

3. UC refunds up to 85% back to you.

Universal Credit can be used alongside funded hours.

Tax-Free Childcare

If you’re not eligible for Universal Credit, you can still receive support through Tax-Free Childcare, which gives working parents 20% off childcare costs. For every £8 you deposit, the government adds £2, up to £2,000 per child per year, or up to £4,000 per year if your child has SEND. This support can be used with or without funded hours.

What This Means For Everbloom Families

Once we are fully Ofsted registered, we plan to accept:

- Funded early-education hours (subject to eligibility)

- Tax-Free Childcare

- Universal Credit childcare payments

- Employer childcare schemes where applicable

We will guide every family through the process so you feel confident and supported when applying for help.
